We’re so excited to have a new interactive whiteboard which makes our lessons a lot more fun. It’s like having a giant computer screen on the wall. We use it for nearly every subject and can have turns to use it. We especially enjoy playing Maths games and discovered a site called www.tutpup.com which is very popular. Lots of us use it at home. It really helps us with our tables. We also like to use the website www.woodlandschool .

We’ve been learning all about Animals for our new topic. We’ve been finding different ways of getting information like using the internet and reading some factual books.

We have also been making animals in Art. We hope you like our photos.

Every Tuesday afternoon we’ve been learning Spanish and it’s great. We’ve played games and we learnt our numbers to 15 and our colours. We also learnt all about Christmas in Spain and how the children get big presents from the three Wise Men. On Christmas Day the children get small gifts from Papa Noel and he leaves the presents in their shoes instead of in a stocking!!

A lot of us have been enjoying the after school Art Club and have been making lovely Christmassy things.

Actually we’re all excited about Christmas!! We’ve started to practise for our Christmas Celebration.

Oh and it was Anti-Bullying week recently so we are remembering to be kind to each other.

A lot has been happening in the classroom since we began the new school year.
We have had a trip to Greenmount where we enjoyed learning about different woodland creatures. We met a horse called Molly and even got to feed the ducks.

A couple of weeks ago Norman came to help us to stay safe on the road.

We listened so well to what he said that he took us out to cross the road in front of our school!! Thank you Norman!

At the beginning of October Spencer and Mrs Dennison travelled to Hamburg as part of the Comenius Project. They enjoyed meeting all the German children and Spencer was very happy to see his friends Hopper and Anton.

He also kept in touch with friends back in the classroom.

When Mrs Dennison came back she told us the names of our new German penpals for this year and we have made cards for them.

We are going to be very busy now getting ready for our Christmas Celebration. It’s a very exciting time of year!
