This year 13 children started and joined a class with 11 P2 children making 24 in total. The topics studied have been ‘Teddy’s Birthday’ and ‘Toys’, Autumn was also studied as a sub-topic. In line with the Revised Curriculum a great deal of learning took place through structured play, (practical activities to enhance learning by encouraging creative thinking and social skills which the children understand to be playing).
Once again there have been a number of parents evenings for P1 and P2 parents keeping them informed about the curriculum and how best parents can support their child’s learning at home. These evenings have proved to be very popular as not only are they informative but they are also enjoyable and give parents the chance to get to know one another better.
If you go down to the woods today
How many people does it take to hug this tree?
We closed our eyes so that we could use our other senses better
Teddy’s Birthday
We enjoyed the food
